I concluded many years ago that the Christian religion was the only religion worthy of serious study. However, over the past few years, I have become increasingly embarrassed by the quality of teaching of American Christian television. I am ashamed of the ignorance of most Christians. Satan has been very successful at keeping us distracted, ambivalent and uninterested in the great things of God. Of course, I am a stranger to you and you probably won't know what to think about the information contained on this website until someone you trust verifies it. I support no particular denomination. This website is my lifes work, 50 years in the making. But, let me continue.
In my opinion, we have been let down, not by God, but by people out there thinking they are anointed teachers of the Bible. It's time to stop the music, sit down the praise team, and talk about some very important subjects. I think the following popular teachings are WRONG:
1. The Christian dead are currently in Heaven living glorious lives. Near death experiences have given us a preview of things to come.
2. The universe is only six thousand years old.
3. A world dictator will soon take over the world. We may be raptured away at any moment.
4. The tv preachers are just bubbling over with the Spirit of God and we should listen earnestly to them.
5. Speaking in tongues is a sure sign that a person has been filled with the Spirit of God.
6. The healings shown on tv are genuine miracles of God.
7. The different denominations are unimportant now, the history of their separation from a larger church is unimportant.
8. We are alot smarter now, after all look at our computers and nice cars.
9. World history is unimportant now.
10. We should leave our brains out in the church parking lot. |

I've searched for the truth since I was 8 years old. I read books such as From Outer Space by Howard Menger, Mysterious Universe by Sir James Jeans, Tertium Organum and In Search Of The Miraculous by P.D. Ouspensky, Beelzebub's Tales To His Grandson by G. I. Gurdjieff, Heaven And Hell and Divine Providence by Emanuel Swedenborg (yes, that was hallucination), some Occult and New Age books by Ophiel and T. Lobsang Rampa, Jiddu Krishnamurti...I wasted many years on that kind of material. I remember when I was 18 years old I thought it wouldn't be long before I would be a 4th degree man after the Ouspensky and Gurdjieff teachings. And I think I read all of the Emanuel Swedenborg books, I really thought I had hit the jackpot. But still, deep down inside something was wrong. I felt awful and depressed.
Then after I came to my senses and became a Christian I read books by Lester Sumrall, Benny Hinn, Hugh Ross, Oswald Chambers, Kurt Koch, R.C. Sproul. Watched on television Billy Graham, Jack Van Impe, Lester Sumrall, John Ankerberg, Grant Jeffrey, Ernest Angley, Benny Hinn, James Kennedy, Charles Stanley...For much of the scientific info on this website, I must thank Dr. Hugh Ross and the Reasons to Believe organization (reasons.org). I highly recommend his book, Why The Universe Is The Way It Is.
This is a work in progress. I've made many mistakes in my life and I'm sure that there will be things deleted or changed on this website over time. Having criticized, now I must say that even though much of what is being taught is wrong or a waste of time, at least they know that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, Who came to this world to save you and me from eternal damnation. It's just time to stop, take a step back and re-examine some of the basics, what every person should know. Please excuse the brevity of detail, I'm just giving you the highlights. Their is enough here to give you a good start. So fasten your safety belts and hold on. |
